Why Hypnotherapy?

It works! Hypnosis is the ultimate means of heightening motivaton by programming the subconscious mind to work in active coorperation with conscious desires. It is a natural, pro-active means of controlling your own behavior, and has been used around the world for over 5,000 years.

How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnosis is considered the alpha level of brain waves, known as the relaxation level. It commonly occurs when waking up or falling asleep, and is associated with imaginative thinking. If you have ever daydreampt during a boring lecture, or become lost in your thoughts while on a long, monotonous stretch of highway, then you have experienced this relaxed state.

Desires, fears, habits, personality traits - they all come from associations in your subconscious mind. Have you ever smelled a perfume or heard a song that triggered an intense emotion? You can control these mental patterns and associations and use them to your advantage!

In the first hypnotherapy session, the hypnotherapist and client discuss and define the client's goals for a more directed and fulfilling life. In subsequent sessions, the hypnotherapist leads the client into the pleasant, relaxing state of hypnosis. Creative imagery is used. It is as simple as imagining yourself in a quiet, idyllic setting, such as a private lagoon or beside a bubbling river.

After further relaxation techniques of both mind and body, the client is ready to receive pre-defined suggestions and directions related to their goal. These usually also involve creative visualization of the client overcoming an obstacle, or reaching greater potential in their life. Depending on the issue, only a few sessions are needed. The client will also be shown how to do self-hypnosis, so that they can practice these poweful yet simple self-actualization techniques throughout their life.
